From Floors to Furniture

Old floors carry the impression, the history of the folk who have walked and danced, and stomped and stamped...

In the olden days, floors were solid timber. Now, the trend is towards engineered floating floors.

But  at Timber Feeling we love our recycled floorboards: we put them in our panels to create colours and textures and . Some boards that  we salvage have remnants of speckled paint.

Our favourite at the moment is old Jarrah from the floor of an old dance hall called the "Brunswick Club". The timber is worn and gnarled and you can see the dings and dongs of high-heels. The colour is a deep crimson that glows after polishing.
