A character-rich straight-board top in reclaimed Messmate warm honey boards alternating with darker streaked stock carried on a timber X-frame base with a horizontal crossbeam stretcher joining the two legs. The Messmate is left largely as it came, with gum veins, mineral streaks and nail shadows held as part of the surface. A modest-scale table with more presence than its footprint would suggest.
